What is a Verification of Benefits (VOB)?
A VOB is an official document from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) confirming you receive public assistance like CalWORKs (cash aid), CalFresh (food stamps), Medi-Cal (health coverage).
You can usually download this document from your BenefitsCAL account or get it from your caseworker. The document shows details like your case number and benefit type.
- Your name, case number, and worker ID.
- Type of benefits (CalFresh, CalWORKs, Medi-Cal) and amounts.
- Proof of application or receipt of aid.
