CalWORKs Grants

Follow these steps to be considered for a CalWORKs Grant

CalWORKs students may be eligible for the CalWORKs grant twice a year, Fall and Spring.

To be considered for a grant, CalWORKs students need to complete the following steps for each Fall and Spring semester: 

  1. Complete the MyGCC CalWORKs Program application
  2. Download your current Verification of Benefits (VOB) from BenefitsCAL and email to cwvob@glendale.edu
  3. Email the VOB from your GCC student email address; write your full name and student ID in the email subject line
  4. Meet with at least one CalWORKs counselor or your assigned case manager/advisor during the semester
  5. Enroll in at least 1 unit or more; for noncredit students, attendance in class is required
