Music Theory (ND)*

This certificate is designed to help students entering the music field. Students will develop musical artistry and proficiency, learn to analyze and recognize musical patterns, and gain a breadth of knowledge of our diverse musical world. These music courses are designed to help students think, create, and collaborate in a critical, expressive, and articulate manner. Program Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this program, students will be able to Identify major topics, developments, debates, and issues in music theory. Discuss, analyze, and synthesize a variety of theoretical and practical foci in music. Classify global, national, and local perspective on issues pertaining to music in preparation for future study and career opportunities.

This certificate does not satisfy the major requirements for the Associate in Science degree.
