Music History (ND)*

This certificate is designed to help students entering the music field. Students will explore the rich history of music from distant and recent past as well as gain a breadth of knowledge of music at present in our diverse world. These music courses are designed to help students think, create, and collaborate in a critical, expressive, and articulate manner. Program Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this program, students will be able to Identify major topics, developments, debates, and issues in music. Discuss, analyze, and synthesize a variety of theoretical and practical foci in music. Classify global, national, and local perspectives on issues pertaining to music in preparation for future study and career opportunities.

This certificate does not satisfy the major requirements for the Associate in Science degree.
